GROUPS & STUDY
Relationships are what life is about -- relationship with God and relationships with other people. It doesn't happen by just attending worship services. It takes time and effort -- but it is worth it. We are not leaving spiritual growth up to the individual to find his or her way by reading books and doing Bible study alone. We have a plan of growth that will take a person from being a seeker to maturity and it will happen while deep relationships are formed with others.
Being a part of a church means that we take teaching and community seriously. One of the greatest benefits of belonging to a local church is the close relationship that is developed by being in a group with others. When we are committed to growing together, God uses the gifts that have been given to the different members to meet the needs of the entire body.
Step 1: Alpha. Alpha is for anyone who wants to explore the Christian
faith. The meetings are fun and informative and relationships
with others become deep and meaningful in ten weeks.
Step 2: Bible 101. This is a 30 week course in the Bible that requires
about five hours per week and covers the entire Bible. It
assumes that each person knows nothing about the Bible, but is
serious about their faith. New class begins each September.
Life Group. Central launched small group ministry in 2004.
Most groups meet every two weeks for two hours. Members
develop deep relationships as they walk with God together.
Step 3: Servant Series. These short classes (8 weeks) are offered for
the strengthening of those who seek to serve God with their
lives. Each course is offered every year.
