An important part of the vision of Central Christian Church is to connect with the community and world around us. As a result, Central has long been involved in efforts to reach out to the Danville/Vermilion County area, the nation and the world. For example, locally our church supports financially Love in the Name of Christ, the men's Rescue Mission, YFRC, the Danville food pantry and many other organizations. Central has also long been a strong financial supporter of the ministries of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) around the world.
But Central is also involved in more "hands-on" ministry as well. Members of Central can often be seen raking leaves and building ramps with Faith in Action, delivering meals with CRIS Senior Services, ringing bells or delivering Christmas food baskets with the Salvation Army, swinging hammers on mission trips as well as volunteering with various organizations throughout the area. A priority in all of this is to partner with other churches and organizations to make our efforts more efficient and effective.
