What to Expect

On Sunday mornings, we offer two worship services. Our Traditional Worship service begins at 8:30 AM and features traditional hymns accompanied by an organ, a choir (or special music during the summer), the use of the Lord's Prayer, the Doxology and other similar elements common to this style of worship. Our Contemporary Worship service begins at 11:00 AM and features a Praise Team, a more contemporary style of music, the use of media and a more informal style.

Both services include the weekly celebration of the Lord's Supper (communion) in which all those who believe in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior are invited to partake. Most Sundays, communion is served to people as they remain seated in their pews. On the last Sunday of the month, however, people are invited to come to the front of the sanctuary to take a piece of bread, dip it into the cup and then return their seats. Even on these Sundays, though, those who would prefer to recieve communion in their pews are welcome to do so.

A Children's Church ministry for those in grades K-5 is available during both the 8:30 and 11:00 AM service. Children in this age group come to the sanctuary for the first part of the worship service and are then dismissed before the message time. In addition, a nursery plus a special class for pre-school children is offered during the 11:00 service.

Messages in both worship services are biblically based and intended to help people develop a stronger relationship with God through Jesus Christ.

The participation of both men and women in leadership is an important aspect of our understanding of the nature of the church and the calling of God. Therefore, you are likely to see both women and men in various aspects of worship on Sunday morning.
