45 Min. Supper/light meal
The night begins with a meal where a group of about 12 share a meal.   There is a voluntary donation toward the meal.

45 minutes.  Talk   The main talk of the evening addresses a key issue relating to the Christian faith.   The talks are all done via DVD by Nicky Gumbel, founder of Alpha.

45 Minutes   Small Groups  Many guests speak of how they find the small group sessions to be the most valuable and rewarding times of the whole Alpha course.   The sessions are an opportunity to ask questions, express opinions and to discuss the topic of the evening.   They also provide an opportunity to make friends and to bounce ideas around in a relaxed and non-threatening environment.
 
Ends   There is a specific time when the session ends, although guests are free to stay and talk if they would like.
